We know that E-Cloths sound too good to be true. These cloths sound like magic, but can they really kill bacteria or is it just a marketing ploy?

Well, many, far smarter people than me, have questioned E-Cloths too. And many of these clever folk have published their findings about E-Cloths.

So, do E-Cloths really kill bacteria and should you be using them? Well, let’s find out, shall we?

Do E-Cloths Kill Bacteria?

E-Cloths are about 1,000 times finer than cotton. They are a type of microfibre cloth made from polyamide and polyester microfibre.

These fibres have a variation in diameter. The variation is very slight, but this is what helps the cloth to pick up lots of bacteria.

If you imagine an E-Cloth acting like lots of little hands, you can kind of see how it works. Each tiny piece of fabric is a hand, these hands are different sizes to ensure that the cloth can pick up most things it comes in contact with.

Now, ‘pick up’ is probably the most important part of that last sentence. You see, E-Cloths don’t kill bacteria. Instead, they remove bacteria.

E-Cloths do actually remove 99% of bacteria, but they don’t kill it. You kill the bacteria when you wash the cloth in cleaning products or with warm, soapy water.

So, no E-Cloths don’t really kill bacteria, but they do really remove bacteria from any surface they touch. This is thanks to their cleverly designed structure.

The variation in the woven fabric and the different materials used allow these cloths to pick up pretty much anything they touch.
